Reading United Unveils 2022 USL League Two Schedule

United’s 26th Season kicks off May 14th on the road; home opener May 21st

Reading United announced Thursday its 2022 United Soccer League (USL) League Two season schedule. United’s 26th season opens on Saturday, May 14th on the road at Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA against a familiar foe in Lehigh Valley United, while the team starts its home slate against Philadelphia Lone Star on Saturday, May 21st at Alvernia University.

The full 14-game Mid Atlantic Division schedule includes old faces like Lehigh Valley United and Ocean City Nor’easters, while mixing in USL League Two sophomores West Chester United, Philadelphia Lone Star, and Real Central Jersey. Previous opponent Northern Virginia FC has been moved to a new Chesapeake Division with other Virginia and Maryland-based teams.

All home dates are slated for 7:00pm kickoff times at a location to be announced shortly.

Season tickets that give entry to all seven home dates are available for only $25 at readingunitedac.com/tickets through May 1. Individual tickets can be purchased in advance at the same link for $7 per game, or $10 at the gate.

Reading will see a fairly even home schedule, with one game in May, three in June, and three in July. Due to the unbalanced divisional alignment, United will face a handful of opponents three times during the season. Lehigh Valley United and Ocean City Nor’easters will both travel to Reading twice, while Reading will travel to face Real Central NJ and West Chester United twice.

Tryouts are upcoming for the 2022 USL League Two team, as well as the reserve team.

The next tryout date is currently scheduled for Saturday, February 12th from 2-5pm at Alvernia University. Online registration is available at readingunitedac.com/tryouts.
