Animal Rescue League to Offer Free Vaccines and Microchips for Cats and Dogs

The Animal Rescue League of Berks County (ARL) will provide 200 HCP/DAPP, rabies vaccines and microchips during a free vaccination clinic to be held Sunday, March 27, 2022, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the shelter in 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA.

Microchips will be available at no charge for both cats and dogs during the clinic. As spring approaches and pets spend more time outdoors, a microchip is an essential tool to reunite pets and their owners should they become lost.

The HCP vaccine is a modified live virus vaccine for the vaccination of healthy cats 9 weeks of age or older as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by feline rhinotracheitis, calici and panleukopenia viruses.

The canine DAPP 5-in-1 vaccine includes protection against canine distemper virus, two types of adenoviruses, aka hepatitis and kennel cough, parainfluenza, and parvovirus.

To register your pet for this clinic, please visit berksarl.co/vaccine327.

When arriving at the clinic all dogs must be on leashes and cats contained in carriers.

This vaccination clinic is possible thanks to a donation by Petco Love and Tina Saracino State Farm.
