Every 2nd Friday of the month, the West Reading shops and restaurants celebrate with “2nd Friday on the Avenue” hosted by the West Reading Community Revitalization Foundation (WRCRF). 2nd Friday on the Avenue is a time to celebrate and recognize our independent shops and locally owned restaurants! Join us Friday, May 13th in West Reading!
May 13th 2nd Friday events and promotions include:
- Live music returns at 6th and Penn Avenues, 6-8pm with the Noah Gibney Trio. Bring a chair, beverage and takeout from your favorite West Reading restaurant and get your toes tapping!
- Michael Miller of Berks Community Murals will host a West Reading Mural Walk starting at 6th Avenue and Cherry Street, starting about 6pm. Learn about the history and creation of our Mural Corridor. Mural Walk pamplets will be available. - Ezekiel 47 and Takkii Ramen will each be hosting ribbon cuttings welcoming them to West Reading on Friday May 13th. Ezekiel 47, 10 S. 5th Avenue, a new coffee shop and cafe, will host their event at noon, offering free drip coffee and vouchers for the first thirty guests. Takkii Ramen, 36 N 6th Avenue, rear, will greet their guests at 3:30pm with samples and refreshments!
- Art Plus Gallery, 604 Penn Avenue, will hold an Artist Reception for their current international photography exhibition, “Zoom with a View, Exotic Corners of the World” featuring the work of Jeff Grabert from 5-8pm.
