The Berks County Commissioners will be hosting an informational town hall about the Berks County Correctional Facility project on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. The hour-long hybrid program will be held live in the Commissioners’ Boardroom in the Berks County Services Center and streamed virtually through Microsoft Teams, BCTV and the Berks County Facebook page and YouTube channel.
The Commissioners will be joined by County leaders from the project’s Steering Committee and team members from CGL, the owner’s representative firm. The panel will provide an overview of the purpose for building a new facility and the timeline of the project, reviewing what has been done to date and what will be coming up next. The program will also review the project website and the various ways the public can engage and stay-up to date on the project’s progress. The program will also provide an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions about the project.
