The Heritage of Green Hills, a healthy life plan community in Shillington, PA., invites families, friends and the community to attend a free exhibition of its community’s vintage model railroad room. This event takes place on Saturday, December 17th from 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM.
Visitors of any age are invited to tour the train room- which includes 405 feet of track- guided by Heritage residents. Young attendees can visit with Santa and there will be light refreshments and music in the dining area.
Heritage resident Rodney Focht said, “Our annual Christmas Railroad Exhibition has attracted a wide range of visitors- from young children to their grandparents. We are excited to open our doors to the public this year and let everyone see what we have been working on.”
The train room was constructed entirely by Heritage residents beginning in 2009. The trains and landscape on display have been made or donated over the years by current and past residents. The display is maintained by the community’s Model Train Club.
“We believe,” said Focht, “our model train display is one of the finest in the area.”
The Heritage of Green Hills is located at 200 Tranquility Lane, just off Morgantown Road/Route 10. Tours will run every 20 minutes from 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM. Reservations are required to tour the vintage model railroad. Please call (484) 269- 5110 to schedule your tour today!
