Award Winners Announced for “Luminous” at Studio B

Studio B Fine Art Gallery announces the award winners in their current exhibit “Luminous: Shining Light Especially in the Darkness” that opened Friday, December 2, 2022. Find a video tour of the exhibit on YouTube: https://youtu.be/s78UQQp7SVg

“Holiday Fern,” a photograph by Jacki Spearly, was awarded Best in Show. Juror Jaap van Liere awarded Honorable Mentions for Albert Ciervo’s “BSL,” Venetian plaster; “Charlie,” an intaglio print by Suzanne Fellows; “Convergence,” an abstract in acrylic by Ellen Finks; and “In Flux,” an encaustic by Kristen Woodward.

van Liere, is a longtime Boyertown area resident, private art dealer in contemporary art in New York City, collector, and avid gardener.

“We want to acknowledge and thank Tompkins Community Bank for sponsoring our annual exhibit. Their support of the artists who exhibit at Studio B and their support of many other events that Boyertown stages certainly illustrates their commitment to our community”, adds Jane Stahl, Studio B’s Director of Community Relations. “There’s never any hesitation about the bank’s support of this annual exhibit; Boyertown Branch Manager Jennifer Woodland facilitated the donation, and we thank her for her enthusiastic support.”

“‘Luminous’ showcases our artists’ best works and talents,” offers Studio B gallery director Susan Biebuyck. “This exhibit is another opportunity for the many talented people who have graced our walls to exhibit and for us to celebrate their artistic accomplishments. We want to ease our community into the darker months by focusing on the incredible talents of our local artists that ‘light up’ our lives.”

The gallery is located at 39 E. Philadelphia Ave. in Boyertown, PA. The studio is open on Saturdays and Sundays, 12:00-2:00 p.m., during classes, by chance, or appointment.
