My Gut Instinct Gears Up for Undy Ride & Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

My Gut Instinct, Inc. is bringing awareness for Colorectal Cancer with its annual Undy 500. This event will bring together the community for an afternoon focused on Colon Cancer prevention. Colorectal Cancer is the 2nd most common cause of cancer death in men and women in the US affecting approximately 150k people per year, a third of which will die of the disease. This is because 1 in 3 Americans, even those with insurance, are not screened when recommended. It is a leading cause of cancer death in young men and women between the ages of 20 to 49! Colon Cancer is beatable in 90% of cases when detected early, and with appropriate screening, and is often entirely preventable.

The Undy 500 will take place at Classic Harley-Davidson, located at 983 James Drive, Leesport on Saturday, March 25th, 11-2pm.

Join us for a free family-friendly event. Bring your favorite wheels including bicycle, motorcycle, scooter, skateboard, rollerblades, unicycle and grab your free pair of commemorative Undy Ride boxer shorts, and ride our 500m obstacle course site at Classic Harley-Davidson, wearing your gifted boxers or your own skiivies. Ride in solidarity for all those who are survivors or victims of Colorectal Cancer. Free at-home stool kits will be given away to those who have never been screened to test yourself at home. Feel free to dress in dark blue for the event as that’s the color for Colorectal Cancer. There will be food for purchase from J.R.’s Brisket & BBQ. Those who have never been screened and own a motorcycle, get a free oil change for your motorcycle if you follow through and get your first colonoscopy in 2023.

During the event, we will have live music from JAM (Jenny and Mel duo). We will also have the Reading Royals Ice Angels performing from 10-12pm and 12-2pm. We are also bringing back the Poop Shoot game. Many thanks to our event sponsor, Classic Harley-Davidson.

Leading up to the event, My Gut Instinct will be celebrating and raising awareness for Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month by running a social media campaign with facts on colon health during the whole month of March.
