City of Reading 275th Anniversary Fireworks Moved to March 16th

Fireworks to mark the 275th Anniversary of the City of Reading have been moved from March 15th to March 16th.

“In looking at the calendar of events taking place across Reading that day the decision was made to move the fireworks to Thursday. Holding the fireworks on Thursday instead of Wednesday will allow them to be the highlight of the day and to coincide with Reading’s official birthday, March 16th.” says 275th Anniversary Special Event Coordinator Laura Reppert.

New date and time for the fireworks is Thursday March 16 at 8:50pm. Residents are encouraged to view the fireworks from vantage points across the city and county.  Access in the vicinity of the fireworks is prohibited to ensure safety.

The 275th Anniversary Fireworks are made possible by the support of Berks Festivals Inc., City of Reading, Mount Penn Preserve Partnership, Tompkins Community Bank, UGI Energy Services, White Star Tours, Kozloff Stoudt Attorneys, Penn Entertainment, Inc., DoubleTree by Hilton Reading, Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, Yeager Supply, Inc., William G.
