State Rep. Manny Guzman, D-Berks, announced Thursday that he has been appointed to four PA House standing committees – Appropriations, Gaming Oversight, Liquor Control, and Professional Licensure – for the 2023-24 legislative session.
“I feel really excited to step into these committees; I am ready to roll up my sleeves and fully embrace the challenges that these assignments will bring,” Guzman said.
“I can assure to all Pennsylvanians that I will keep championing legislation that can guarantee the wellbeing of our state,” he continued.
“Each of these assignments will address important issues facing our community, but as we head toward budget negotiations, I am specially looking forward to make vital decisions now in my role as member of the Appropriations Committee.”
“This committee plays a pivotal part in forming recommendations for budget and fiscal-related matters and is intrinsically involved in the annual budget process,” Guzman said.
