Herbein Announces Election of CEO Stonsifer & CFO Witkowski to 2nd Terms

Ratification vote by firm partnership extends their tenure through September 30, 2029

READING, PA  – Leading CPA advisory firm Herbein + Company, Inc. (Herbein) announces the election of David W. Stonesifer, CPA and Joseph J. Witkowski, CPA to their second five-year terms as chief executive officer, and chief financial officer, respectively. The ratification by the firm partnership comes before the end of their first term, and extends their tenure through September 30, 2029.

As Herbein CEO, Stonesifer is responsible for the firm’s overall strategic direction and client focus, as well as for all professional and administrative matters. Since becoming CEO in 2019, Stonesifer has worked closely with the firm partnership and leadership team to guide the firm’s growth.

Joseph J. Witkowski, CPA

As Herbein CFO, Witkowski is responsible for ensuring the financial health of the firm and its divisions. Collaborating with firm leadership and its partnership, Witkowski leads Herbein’s operational finance, financial planning, revenue cycle management, and accounting functions, and has comprehensive involvement in executing the firm’s merger & acquisitions.

“I’m honored to serve as CFO at this dynamic time in the firm’s history,” Witkowski said. “Herbein is well-positioned to enhance its ongoing success, and I’m excited to work with our finance team in the years to come.”

Since Stonesifer and Witkowski assumed their roles, Herbein has grown its U.S. footprint, and opened its first international location, in Quezon City, Philippines – and increased its full-time employee count by 35%. In the last two years, Herbein strengthened its existing comprehensive suite of service offerings through new divisions centered on HR consulting, organizational psychology, and wealth management. In the first three years of the Stonesifer and Witkowski terms (2019-2022), the firm has increased its total revenue by more than 50%, to close to $47 million in 2022. And the outlook continues to be strong: Herbein’s pre-bonus net income in 2023 is already trending 25% ahead of 2022.
