The City of Reading, Pennsylvania, is thrilled to announce the official groundbreaking ceremony for the much-anticipated skate park project. This exciting initiative aims to provide a safe and dynamic space for skateboarders and all action sport enthusiasts  of all ages and skill levels to enjoy their passion.

Scheduled to take place on July 6 at 1pm 601 Canal St. Reading, PA, the groundbreaking ceremony will mark the commencement of construction for the state-of-the-art skate park. The event will bring together city officials, community leaders, project supporters, and enthusiastic skateboarders to celebrate this significant milestone.

The skate park project is a collaborative effort between the City of Reading, the Reading Skatepark Association who was the grassroots organization that raised the initial funds to begin this project and local skateboarding advocates who recognize the need for a dedicated facility that caters to the thriving skateboarding and action sports  scene in the area. The skate park will be designed to meet the highest standards of safety, while also providing a diverse range of features and obstacles to accommodate different riding styles.
