Visions Donates $25,000 to Centro Hispano at Awards Gala

Visions Federal Credit Union surprised Centro Hispano Daniel Torres, Inc. with a donation of $25,000 at the 2023 Amigo Award Dinner in Wyomissing, PA. The donation will help to support many of the organization’s community programs, including Abriendo Puertas (Opening Doors).

The Amigo Award Dinner is an annual gala hosted by the Centro Hispano, or Hispanic Center, to honor those who support the Centro Hispano’s mission and enhance quality of life for the Latino population in the Greater Reading area. This year’s recipient was the Reading Area Community College.

One of the event sponsors, Visions had several of their organization’s leaders in attendance. During the gala, Visions’ Director of Branding and Public Relations, Timothy Strong, addressed the room to announce the donation, recognizing Centro Hispano’s impact on Berks County.

“When we looked at the various organizations serving the Hispanic population of Berks County and beyond, it became clear that Centro Hispano was a trusted resource making a huge impact,” said Strong. “This support is the next chapter of what we know will be a long partnership.”

“We are honored to have a partner like Visions Federal Credit Union in our community working to lift up our families with tools and resources that enhance financial literacy,” said Michael Toledo, President and CEO of the Centro Hispano Daniel Torres, Inc. “It is through these types of partnerships that we are able to lead collective impact for years to come.”
