Clay on Main Presents Wild Things
Fishhead Guy by Shae Glodowski, multimedia,

Clay on Main presents Wild Things, a curated group exhibition exploring the untamed and unruly creatures of our world or imagination. Juried by Dolores Kirschner, director of Clay on Main and Ray Lapinski, a recent graduate of Moore College of Art and Design with a Masters of Socially Engaged Art. We find that creatures inspire us, from the beasts that go bump in the night to the fantastical dragons of our favorite books, animals real or imagined are all around us. We see ourselves in the wild side of the natural or supernatural world, reveling in the sharp teeth and untamed claws. These creatures can empower us to stand up for ourselves, fight for what we believe in or find beauty in our unusualness, wild things can give us power. Art can portray these beasts hiding beneath the surface and we ask artists to consider the ways in which creatures, real or imagined, express our deeper instincts. This exhibition featuring 12 unique artists is a playful and whimsical exploration of Wild Things.
