Penn State Extension Offers Cooking Class on Vegetarian Meals

Penn State Extension invites you to learn how to cook vegetarian as part of its “Let’s Cook with Penn State Extension” cooking class series.

“Let’s Cook Vegetarian” will take place from place from 5 to 7 p.m. on October 10, 2023, at the Berks County Ag Center, 1238 County Welfare Road, Leesport, PA.

Vegetarian diets may help reduce the risk of developing certain conditions, such as:

“Let’s Cook Vegetarian” is a hands-on cooking class that will explore different ways to eat a balanced, plant-based diet.  Participants will be provided tips on how to make traditional entrées the vegetarian way, healthy shopping, time saving tips and more, so cooks of all skill levels can navigate around the kitchen with confidence.

Participants will sample all the recipes prepared.  It will be a plant-based feast!

The cost of the program is $30.
