Two Organizations Partner to Promote Physical and Financial Wellness in Hispanic Heritage Month

Berks Community Health Center (BCHC) and Visions Federal Credit Union will be teaming up for a physical and financial wellness event on Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Visions will be hosting the event at their branch located at 4245 N. 5th St. in Temple. BCHC’s mobile medical unit, Wellness on Wheels, a 40’ mobile health clinic with two medical exam rooms that provide primary and preventative care, will be on site. Appointments are preferred, but free resources and referrals will be available. To make an appointment, call BCHC at 610-988-4838, ext. 1266.

This partnership is strategically planned at the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month to encourage members of the community to evaluate both their physical and mental health. Visions’ knowledgeable staff will be on hand to provide free, courteous, and confidential financial support resources. Also, both Visions’ youth mascot, Kirby, and BCHC’s mascot, Healthy Berky, will make an appearance. Healthy snacks will be available.
