In partnership with Country Meadows Retirement Communities, the Wyomissing Public Library will present a program on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m. about caring for the caregiver.
Rev. Howard L. West, Director of Spiritual Life at Country Meadows, will speak on the topic, “Leading the Way for You: Understanding Caregiver Self-Care Through a Spiritual Lens.”
Rev. West is a trained counselor with over 28 years of experience. He earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. His focus is on “helping individuals recognize and appreciate the caregiving journey and find positive and helpful ways to manage the commitment and sacrifice that benefit the loved one and the caregiver.”
