State Representative Johanny Cepeda-Freytiz, D-Berks, announced on Friday, Oct. 27, that she will host a Health and Wellness Fair to help residents access key local and state resources.

The fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29, at the Jewish Federation of Reading, located at 1100 Berkshire Blvd., Ste.125, in Reading.

“This will be a family-oriented event aimed at encouraging residents to take care of themselves and their loved ones,” Cepeda-Freytiz said. “There is a wide range of services and programs available right now, and I want to make sure that our neighbors get guidance to learn about these programs and, most importantly, that they take advantage of the opportunity.”

Among the many highlights of the fair will be the Tower Health and Latino Connections, which will have medical mobile units on-site providing an array of medical-related services like vaccinations and screening tests.

The program also includes activities on healthy snacks hosted by Highmark and a Zumba class provided by Aging with Comfort.

Additionally, Cepeda-Freytiz and her staff will be there to assist with everyone’s state-related questions. More information is available by contacting Cepeda-Freytiz’s office at 484-577-2756.
