BARTA Plans Third Round of Public Meetings for TDP

The South Central Transit Authority (SCTA), which oversees Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority (BARTA) transit services in Berks County, announced another round of public meetings to update the community on the progress of their Transit Development Plan (TDP). These public meetings are the third round of public meetings being held before the completion of the plan. These meetings will focus on informing the public of the consultants’ final draft recommendations. The draft recommendations are based on a comprehensive analysis of existing services, feedback received from riders and non-riders from previous rounds of public outreach, and comments and survey results on service scenarios presented over the summer.

The following are the dates for the in-person public meeting and the virtual public meeting option:

In-person public meeting:

  • Tuesday, Dec. 5
    5:30-7 p.m.
  • DoubleTree by Hilton
    Callowhill Ballroom
    701 Penn St., Reading
  • Short presentation will begin the meeting, followed by discussion and question time.

Virtual public meeting:
