Family Promise of Berks County Appoints Jill Glose as Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Family Promise of Berks County announces the appointment of Jill Glose as the organization’s new executive director.

Jill Glose, a resident of Reading, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. She holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Kutztown University and has a background working with communities in need. Glose has previously served as a Clinical Therapist for The IMPACT Project, Inc. in Macungie, PA, as well as the Case Manager Supervisor at Service Access and Management in Reading. Additionally, she has held the position of Director of Early Intervention at Easterseals Eastern PA in Reading and, most recently, served as Vice President of Clinical Services at the same organization.

Family Promise aims to help families and youth to achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response. Among the services FP offers are rapid rehousing, homelessness prevention, mediation, advocacy, and emergency assistance.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors of Family Promise of Berks County, we are thrilled to welcome Ms. Glose to the organization,” said Taylor Bolan, Chair of FP Board of Directors. “The Board is inspired by her past and current dedication to helping those in need. We are confident that her capabilities, experience, and alignment with the spirit and purpose of Family Promise will help further our shared aspirations to uplift the community. We look forward to working with Ms. Glose to pursue organizational goals involving the expansion of outreach and facilitation of organizational growth and sustainability, all aiming to adapt to and respond to the evolving needs of the community. Just as her predecessor Bethany Bower did before her, we believe Ms. Glose will play an instrumental role in turning our common goals into real-world results for the community.”

On her part, Glose is honored to have been appointed to lead FP. “I am honored and grateful to serve as the leader of Family Promise of Berks County,” said Glose. “Small nonprofits like ours must not be underestimated! With dedicated staff, an engaged board of directors, generous donors, and magnanimous volunteers, we can create a significant impact in our community. I look forward to being an integral part of our focused work with children, families, and youth at risk of homelessness.”

Glose succeeds Bethany Bower, who stepped down from the position in October 2023.
