Studio B Fine Art Gallery Announces Opening of eARTh & Climate

Studio B Fine Art Gallery, 39A East Philadelphia Avenue in Boyertown, PA, announces the opening of “eARTh & Climate,” the gallery’s annual exhibit featuring the environment, beginning Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, with an awards reception from 5-7 p.m. The opening and exhibition is free and open to the public. It continues through April 21, 2024. Normal gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 12-2 p.m. or by appointment. A virtual tour and the awards ceremony will be available on Facebook LIVE during the opening.

“The exhibit offers a broad and open discussion about our earth, its ecosystem, and life on it. Mother Nature’s art and all expressions on our planet, of home, life, health, politics, race, religion, environment, gender, diet, industry, landscape, or anything in the universe was open for artistic response in all media and genres of art,” noted gallery director Susan Biebuyck. “Responses that encourage our need to respect and care for Mother Earth are an important part of this exhibit.”

Juror for the exhibit is Ryan Fretz of Ryan Fretz Arts, an Earth Artist and longtime fixture of the Mt. Gretna, PA, community with a BFA from Kutztown University. Working in multiple mediums, Ryan’s work seeks a synthesis between Fine Art, landscape design, and the natural world.

In addition, Biebuyck has challenged artists to create work for a unique fundraiser for the studio: One of the studio’s walls showcases 8” x 8” squares of art in any medium and priced at $40. Patrons can take the work with them after purchase—right off the wall, no waiting. Learn more at the website https://www.studiobbb.org/.
