Schlouch Appointed by Governor Shapiro to Thaddeus Stevens Board

Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology is pleased to announce the appointment of three new board members to its nine-member Board of Trustees. The Governor of Pennsylvania appoints board members as the college is a state-operated institution. The new trustees are Barry L. Schlouch, president and co-founder of Schlouch Inc.; Todd D. Shertzer, vice president of finance and administration with CCS Building Group; and Marshall W. Snively, president of Lancaster City Alliance.

Thaddeus Stevens College is a technical and trade-focused college offering 24 associate degree programs, four nine-month certificate programs, and several six-week and six-month training programs through its Workforce and Economic Development Center hosted at Tec Centro. Its mission is to create access to education for those who might not otherwise have that pathway open to them, along with supporting the current and future workforce needs of the Commonwealth.

Board members serve six-year terms after their appointment. Schlouch, Shertzer, and Snively began their board terms as of Dec. 13 and will attend their first board meeting on Feb. 6. The board meets six times a year and oversees the college’s strategic operations and leadership.

Our board members are active in their communities, well-known as leaders, and passionate about both education and our state’s workforce,” said Pedro Rivera II, president of Thaddeus Stevens College. “These three new members are no exception.
