The Foundation will remain steadfast in our commitment to growth and educating tens of thousands of students annually across our local communities through innovative, hands-on learning.”
The S.P.A.R.K.S. Foundation provides invaluable hands-on science programs to schools that face financial constraints. The organization firmly believes in the transformative power of inquiry-based education, which has been proven to enhance a child’s understanding and retention of key scientific concepts.
Studies consistently show that exposing students to a diverse range of scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science, has a profound impact on their educational journey. The foundation offers Classroom Visitation Programming (CVP) and assemblies for students K-5 that go beyond traditional classroom instruction, sparking curiosity for science.
Alec Reinert’s leadership has already contributed significantly to the foundation’s growth and success. Under his guidance, The S.P.A.R.K.S. Foundation has continued to expand its reach, ensuring that more students have access to quality science education irrespective of financial barriers.
Melanie Mattes, The S.P.A.R.K.S. Foundation’s Board President, shared, “The board is very excited to officially welcome Alec to the SPARKS team as our Executive Director. He is a breath of fresh air to our organization; we are excited for continued growth under his leadership to excite as many children as we can to S.T.E.M. learning.”
The S.P.A.R.K.S. Foundation foresees continuing organizational growth and success under Alec Reinert’s leadership. The collective goal is to inspire the next generation of scientists and foster a lifelong love for learning.
