Berks County USDA Service Center Open House

This event will provide the unique opportunity to learn more about the various levels of assistance available from local, state and federal organizations that can be utilized by agricultural producers. Exhibits with associated informational packets highlighting agricultural programs will be on display outside the various offices.  Representatives will be on hand to answer questions from the following organizations located within the building center:

USDA Farm Service Agency
USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service
Berks County Department of Agriculture
Penn State Extension
Berks County Conservation District

The event will be free flowing from 9:00AM – 3:00PM without formal presentations.  This format will allow visitors to interact (as their schedule permits) with the organizations present.  It is an excellent opportunity to evaluate the various levels of service available for agricultural operations to determine which programs can provide benefits for specific situations.  The event will also provide students and job seekers the chance to learn about career opportunities that exist within Berks County.

Registration is not required for the event. We look forward to meeting everyone on Thursday, April 4th from 9:00AM – 3:00PM.
