From Help a Girl Out USA
Following a series of high-energy kick-off events, Help a Girl Out (HAGO) USA is officially moving into its public donation phase. For the remainder of February, community members can visit over 80 public drop-off locations across Berks, Schuylkill, Lancaster, and York counties to donate essential feminine hygiene products and diapers.
Now in its fifth year, this grassroots initiative continues to bridge the gap for local menstruators facing period poverty. The 2025 drive saw a record-breaking 88,889 units collected, and with the 2026 drive now in full swing, organizers are calling on the public to help exceed that impact.
“The momentum from our kick-offs has been incredible,” said Suzanne Cody, firm associate at Muhlenberg Greene Architects and 2025 People of Action Award recipient. “We now have a massive network of local businesses and partners ready to accept donations. Every pad, tampon, and diaper donated stays right here in our community to provide dignity to those in need.”
