For those with extra time from lack of socializing or unfortunate work furloughs, the Berks LaunchBox has many free courses that are being delivered remotely to help people to learn, grow, and come up with innovative ideas for starting a business. All courses can be found at https://berkslaunchbox.psu.edu/updates/ Here are some examples:
Entrepreneurship Law Webinar

Idea TestLab: invites the community and Penn Stater’s with STEM related business ideas to apply to participate in its free 4-night class. This class will help you:
- get a better handle on the problem you are trying to solve for your customer,
- determine where your potential customers hang out, and
- identify the value of your product compared to what already exists on the market.Participants will learn how to develop a business model, validate their business model through a scientific process, get feedback from faculty experts and other entrepreneurs, and work one-to-one with experienced entrepreneurs who serve as mentors. Participants will also be eligible to apply for a micro-grant of up to $3,000, which can be used to attend industry trade shows, visit potential customers, develop prototypes and cover customer discovery expenses, and they can apply for an I-Corps National Teams $50,000 grant award after completing the program. This class is offered at no cost on Wednesday, May 20, 27, June 3, 10 from 6:30-8:30 pm. To learn more and apply (due by April 29 – later due date due to COVID) visit: http://sites.psu.edu/ceed
