European Villages of Origin for Early Berks County Immigrant Families

May 11 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$5 – $8

For our May Second Saturday Program, author Evans Goodling reveals the European regions, including Germany, France, Switzerland, and Great Britain, from which Berks Countians migrated. This exploration aims to provide guests with a deeper insight into the diverse backgrounds that shape our community’s unique heritage.

Complementing his narrative are photographs taken during Goodling’s visits to these regions, showcasing the scenic villages, quaint towns, and vibrant cities where these migrants once resided.

This presentation honors the enduring connections that bind distant lands with the hearts of Berks County residents.

This program will be held in person, inside the BHC Museum Auditorium. The cost of this program is $5 for BHC members and $8 for non-members. Coffee, hot tea, juice, and light refreshments will be made available for participants at 9:30 AM.
