This is the fourth blood drive that the Bank has hosted at their Shoemakersville Branch in collaboration with Miller-Keystone Blood Center. As the only independent community bank headquartered in Berks County, Fleetwood Bank strongly supports Miller-Keystone because where we donate blood makes a difference. Miller-Keystone Blood Center serves 35 local hospitals, so your donation is helping and saving the lives of your neighbors, family members, friends, and co-workers in the area.

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. On an annual basis, Miller-Keystone Blood Center needs 100,000+ units of blood to help save patients in local hospitals. This equates to 350 donors being needed each day. The community blood supply is currently at a critical state for O+, O- and B-, while platelets are urgently needed and A+ and AB- are a priority. Though A-, B+ and AB+ are stable, platelet donors are still needed.

All donors that register to donate blood now through Sunday, March 24 will have the opportunity to enter to win four tickets to see the Philadelphia Phillies vs. Cincinnati Reds game on Monday, April 1 at 6:40 PM. The winner of this giveaway will also receive a $200 electronic gift card that may be used towards transportation costs, food, beverages or anything else that will make the game experience more enjoyable.
