Sunday Sinfonia

April 30, 3pm- Memorial Chapel at Albright College

Although we have collaborated with Albright College students in the past, engaging an oboe player and singers as featured soloists, this concert will be much bigger in scope. We are very excited to perform the Schubert Mass in G Major with the Albright College Chorus directed by Derrick Thompson. It will be a challenge to find enough space for musicians and singers, but this type of collaboration is good for both Albright College and Sunday Sinfonia. We also have an excellent high school violist performing the J.C.Bach – Casadesus Viola concerto with us. This concerto was written by Henri Casadesus in the style of J.C.Bach. The program opens with a concerto grosso by Arcangelo Corelli, nicknamed ‘Christmas Concerto’. As the name implies it is a beautiful celebratory work.
