Reading Public Library – Salem Witch Trials

Join archivist Mickey DiCarmillo on Saturday, October 22 at 1:30 pm for an afternoon of interactive inquiry into the interrogations of suspected witches in Salem, 1692.  This program, perfect for the season, is being held at Reading Public Library’s Main library, 100 S. 5th St.

Mr. DiCarmillo will tell the story through archival documents from the period.  Program participants will interact with transcripts from the 1692 interrogations of the suspected witches.  Still relevant today, this story demonstrates the power of fear in a civilized society.

The event is free of charge and pre-registration is not required. For additional information, please contact the Reading Public Library Reference Department at 610.655.6355.
