George Stettler to Be Inducted Into Pennsylvania Karate Hall of Fame
George Stettler

East Coast Karate of the Yocum Institute is proud to announce that Mr. George Stettler, Second Degree Black Belt, will be inducted into the Pennsylvania Karate Hall of Fame on November 5, 2023. Their purpose “is to honor our heroes, preserve our history, recognize our commitment, our integrity, our courage, and celebrate the excellence we have endured throughout our Martial Arts journey”.

“I enjoy helping them improve their skills and their behavior.  I find out how they are doing in school and encourage them to do their best.  I enjoy talking to the parents about their children and how the parents can help their child. The students that are challenged in some way are the ones I truly enjoy celebrating their achievements. Because I am learning challenged and I raised a son who is also learning challenged, those are the students that hold a special place in my heart.”

Over the years, Mr. Stettler has competed in many tournaments and has at least 50 trophies from competitions, mainly on the East Coast. Mr. Stettler has continued his martial arts training by attending seminars and Black Belt classes. Mr. Stettler believes in serving and being an active member of his community.  Over the years, he has volunteered in many different capacities.

Mr. Stettler has been practicing martial arts for 49 years since 1974. He has been teaching karate for many years at East Coast Karate, mainly in our Little Kuma classes (ages 3-5) and our children’s classes (ages 6-12).
