Humane Pennsylvania Offers Fee-Waived Adoption Weekend Thanks to Carpenter Technology

Humane Pennsylvania is hosting a three-day, fee-waived adoption weekend. From Friday, Dec. 1, through Sunday, Dec. 3, Humane Pennsylvania is allowing community members to adopt a shelter dog, cat, or critter, and all adoption fees will be waived at the Berks and Lancaster County adoption centers. All fees will be sponsored by Carpenter Technology and hosted by members of the Strip Department.

Carpenter’s Strip Department has made several productivity and customer reliability improvements within the last year, and, in turn, their team received recognition at the annual Carpenter Impact Awards. Part of this recognition included making a generous donation to a charitable organization of their choice – which is Humane Pennsylvania! This donation will cover all of the fees for animals who are adopted during this particular adoption event.

Adopters wishing to provide a forever home for shelter animals are encouraged to visit the shelter campuses or HumanePA.org. All potential adopters are required to go through Humane Pennsylvania’s diligent adoption screening process (approval is not guaranteed).

Adoptions include:

 Adoption locations and details:

Hope is a lovely 10-year-old spayed female with the most purrfect milk mustache. This sweet lady enjoys spending her days climbing on her cat tree, basking in the sun, and showering her human friends with affection. Despite her age, Hope is full of love and charm, making her the perfect companion for anyone looking to add a seasoned feline friend to their home. If you’re ready to open your heart to a gentle soul, consider welcoming Hope into your life!
Emma is a sweet 2-year-old spayed female domestic shorthair with a love for climbing and being brushed. Since she hasn’t been around kids, cats, or dogs, we’re unsure of her reactions to them. Emma has been dealing with some gastro-intestinal problems, but her wet food-only diet seems to be making a positive difference. However, she could greatly benefit from further testing and care with a veterinarian. If you’re looking for a sweet companion who enjoys playtime and pampering, consider giving Emma a forever home!
Life-Saver is an 8-year-old spayed female American pitbull terrier mix. She’s a super sweet and lovable girl looking for a fresh start. She was transported from another shelter, so we don’t know too much about her previous life.
