Neag Foundation Awards BCTV $75,000 to Fuel Arts Programming

The Neag Foundation, a dedicated patron of the arts, has awarded a generous grant of $75,000 to Berks Community Television (BCTV) in support of arts programming on air and online via the community media resource’s platforms and channels. This substantial grant aims to foster the growth and accessibility of artistic content, empowering BCTV and local arts organizations and projects to deliver captivating arts experiences to audiences in the comfort of their own homes.

Television has long served as a powerful medium for showcasing the creativity and talent of artists from various disciplines. Recognizing the immense potential to inspire, educate, and entertain through arts programming, the Neag Foundation is happy to support BCTV in promoting content that cultivates a deeper appreciation for the arts and celebrate the diversity of artistic expression.

The $75,000 grant will be instrumental in fueling a range of programs that enrich the television landscape with compelling arts content. BCTV, known for its dedication to quality programming and commitment to artistic enrichment, collaborates with artists, producers, and broadcasters to curate and present exceptional arts experiences that resonate with viewers in Berks County and beyond.

“The Neag Foundation is delighted to honor the legacy of Ray and Carole Neag with our donation to the BCTV for arts programming,” said Sally Reis Renzulli, Chair of the Board of Trustees. “We fully support the role of the arts in our community and are pleased to support Berks Community Television and the innovative arts programming they provide.”

BCTV, a community media organization with a rich history of delivering outstanding local content, is committed to amplifying the artistic voices that shape our community. This grant from the Neag Foundation will further strengthen BCTV’s capacity to curate a diverse range of arts programming, engage viewers of all backgrounds, and inspire a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

“We are deeply grateful to the Neag Foundation for their belief in our mission and their support. This collaboration will enable us to showcase the immense talent within the arts community and foster a greater sense of cultural appreciation among our audience,” commented Heather Adams, BCTV Executive Director.

BCTV reminds artists, creators, and producers that they are encouraged and welcomed to submit proposals for programming that will captivate audiences with arts content. BCTV, in collaboration with the Neag Foundation, seeks to explore diverse art forms, amplify underrepresented voices, and engage with communities that are often overlooked.
