Reading Theater Project Announces Company Leadership Developments

Reading-based theater company announces new personnel 

The Reading Theater Project, whose mission is to create original theater productions, has announced changes and additions to its creative directors and team.

The company has welcomed the Reading Eagle’s former Entertainment Editor, George Hatza, as its Literary Director starting in the 2018 season. Hatza is a MFA graduate of Boston University in theatrical directing and has been a member of the American Theatre Critics Association since 1989.

In addition to Hatza’s arrival, RTP has announced that Vicki Haller Graff and Joel Richard Gori will assume Co-Artistic Director positions beginning this season. Both have been mainstays of the company with Gori serving as the inaugural Artistic Director and Graff serving in the position from 2012 through 2015.

In addition,Christine Cieplinski will assume the position of Community Outreach Liaison. Cieplinski has been a member of RTP for many years including work as the director of their Quick and Dirty Improv Troupe in 2014 and 2015.

The rest of the creative directors and team are Chris Heslop as Music Director, Sue Lange as Resident Playwright and Christopher David Roché as Managing Director.      

The Reading Theater Project is a multi-generational collective of performing artists who create new theater in Reading, Pa.
