The first ever automobile (‘moto-cycle’) race held in 1895 in Chicago, and the first cross-country merchandise delivery by truck in 1912 (3 tons of soap from Philadelphia to California) are discussed by archivist Dan Olsen and Kendra Cook, Executive Director, on Wheels Along the Road.
