Book Bonanza Announces 2017 Sale at VF, Still Seeking New Location for Future

Book Bonanza is pleased to announce that its annual sale, beginning Thursday, July 13, 2017 through Sunday, July 16, 2017, will be held on the third floor of the Red building of the Vanity Fair Outlets in Wyomissing, PA. “Equus, the new owners, offered Book Bonanza the opportunity to have our July 2017 sale, if we could move our operation down the hall. We promptly did this,” said Ms. Vicki Steinberg, Director of Book Bonanza. Ms. Steinberg continued, “We thank Equus for working with us to accommodate our sale, and we were glad to help them by making our former space available to them.”

“While we are happy that we are able to announce our July sale, we are still looking for our next home for year-round operation and future sales,” said Ms. Steinberg. Book Bonanza is seeking about 10,000 square feet of retail type space with approximately 500 parking spaces. Anyone with space available can contact Allen Westbrook at 484-818-1659 or at [email protected].

“We want to thank all the concerned people who called with ideas and leads for potential spaces to continue our charitable efforts,” Ms. Steinberg continued. The proceeds from each sale benefit Berks County libraries and provide scholarships for Berks County women. Book Bonanza, a Berks County tradition for over 30 years, is a joint venture of the Friends of Berks County Public Libraries and the American Association of University Women-Reading Branch.

Book Bonanza will suspend collecting books after Tuesday, May 30, until a new location can be found. This will allow Book Bonanza to focus on the 2017 sale and the search for a new location.

The 2017 sale will begin on Thursday, July 13, from 2 pm to 6 pm with a $10 early-bird admission fee for all attendees. There is no admission fee on Friday, July 14, 10 am to 8 pm; Saturday, July 15, 10 am to 7 pm; and Sunday, July 16, 11 am to 3 pm for the $5 fill-a-bag day. Book Bonanza expects to offer more than 100,000 used hardcover and paperback books, puzzles, CDs and DVDs with prices ranging from $.50 to $2, with collectibles and specialty items priced as marked.
