Local Police Agencies to Conduct Citizen’s Police Academy

The Spring Township, West Reading, and Wyomissing Police Departments will join forces again to conduct their 9th annual Citizen’s Police Academy. The program will begin September 19, 2017 and run for 8 weeks, concluding with graduation on November 7, 2017. The hours will be from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

The program is designed for all residents to develop a greater awareness and appreciation of the challenges and decisions faced by the police officers on a daily basis.

The program is open to residents of Spring Township, West Reading Borough, and Wyomissing Borough.

Topics covered will include traffic enforcement, pursuits, forensics, criminal investigations, the court system, K9 units, drugs, gangs, and many others.
