Greater Reading Economic Partnership’s Deb Heffner Elected to Industrial Asset Management Council’s Board of Directors

Deb Heffner of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC). Heffner was elected by IAMC membership on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. IAMC is the leading trade association for corporate real estate executives focused on an industrial portfolio.

“This is a prestigious professional recognition of Deb and her hard work and dedication in marketing Greater Reading,” says Pamela Shupp, President of the Greater Reading Economic Partnership.

Heffner currently serves as the Business Outreach Director for Greater Reading Economic Partnership (GREP), an affiliate of GRCA. In her role, she serves as the director of Local Business Outreach initiative, working with existing businesses to help them prosper and connect them to resources. Additionally, she serves as the primary person for all prospect outreach which includes attending conferences and tradeshows, relationship management, and site visits. Heffner’s professional awards and certifications include the designation of Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) in 2016, and a 2013 IAMC Fellow designation.

“I am honored to have been elected to the IAMC Board and look forward to serving its members,” says Heffner.

IAMC, a highly influential professional association, was founded in 2002 and boasts 600-plus members, including real estate professionals for large manufacturing companies, site selectors, developers, and industrial real estate brokers. It counts professionals from a variety of large industrial firms such as Air Products and Chemicals, Anderson, BASF, Bimbo, Corning, General Mills, Honda of America Manufacturing, Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals Group, Kohler, NFI Industries, Penske, PepsiCo, Sonoco, Thermo Fisher, Weyerhaeuser.
