Do You Know These People? 1889 “Cyclone” Silk Mill Collapse

Can you help put together the pieces of a Berks history mystery?

January 9, 2019 will mark the 130th Anniversary of the “Cyclone” that destroyed both the P & R Car Shop, on 8th Street, and the Grimshaw Silk Mill, at 11th and Marion. 

The photo below is a card memorializing the victims of the Silk Mill collapse. Unfortunately, none of those pictured are identified. As part of an upcoming Historical Review article, the author would like to put names to the faces of these victims.
