Reading Public Library Comic Con Expanding To Three Locations, Free Fun For All Ages

Reading, PA  –   The Reading Public Library is holding its fourth annual Comic Con on Saturday, July 14 from 11am to 2 pm. Admission is free as are a variety of workshops and activities.  This year’s event has expanded to include activities at the main library as well as the Northeast and Southeast branches.

The main branch, 100 S. 5th St. will feature a dance party, costume contest, and artists’ alley Pictionary battle. Featured artists are Jean Esther, Jimmy Ettele, Juan Carolos Ruiz, Jr. and Craig Schaffer. The Yocum Institute will provide face painting and crafts and David Perry with do free caricatures. Special guests include the Black Panther, Wonder Woman, and the Reading Derby Girls.  Food stands will be available.

A cosplay workshop with guest teacher Lady J of the Philadelphia Avengers will be offered at the Southeast Branch, 1426 Perkiomen Ave. and a rolling game station will visit the Northeast Branch, 1348 N. 11th St.
