Reinert, Lim Earn NFCA All-Region Honors

Louisville, Ky. (May 15, 2019) – Alvernia softball sophomore Sarah Reinert and junior JoAnnah Lim earned NFCA All-Region honors, as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on May 16.

Reinert earned second team honors as a second baseman, though she also played third base and shortstop this year. Lim earned third team honors as an at-large player.

Reinert earned second team All-MAC Commonwealth honors this year as an infielder. Reinert started and played in all 43 games for Alvernia, and led the Golden Wolves with a team and conference high 64 hits and 41 runs scored. She finished the year with a .441 batting average. In the field, Reinert finished the season with a .948 fielding percentage, with 66 putouts and 81 assists.

Lim earned first team All-MAC Commonwealth honors, also as an infielder. Lim appeared and started in 39 games for Alvernia and finished the season with a team-high .449 batting average. She finished the season with 57 hits, 27 RBIs, and 27 runs scored. In the field, Lim finished the season with 61 putouts and 64 assists.

A total of eight MAC Commonwealth softball players earned NFCA All-Region honors.

Alvernia finished the season an overall record of 24-18-1, and a MAC Commonwealth record of 10-6. The Golden Wolves made the MAC Commonwealth tournament as the #3 seed, but were eliminated on the first day of competition.
