June 5th Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House at Renovated, Original Location

Grove Dental Group is returning to its roots to accommodate its rapidly growing practice. On June 5th, the Grove Dental leadership team hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house to celebrate the reopening of their original Penn Avenue location. Over 50 patients, area leaders, business partners, and new neighbors attended the event which included a tour of the state-of-the-art facility. The newly renovated office, located at 1286 Penn Avenue, will complement Grove Dental’s existing office at 2228 State Hill Road, also in Wyomissing.
Ribbon Cutting and Open House
Dr. Jeffrey Grove, owner, standing next to his father and practice co-founder, Dr. Dale Grove, and fronting the Penn Avenue office entry, shared memories about the original office before thanking patients for making the new facility possible. “This was our home for many, many years, starting in the 1970s,” related Dr. Grove. “We started here in the 1970s and grew here until we needed the new building on State Hill Road, and now that building has gotten so full of patients and excitement that in just 3 short years we’ve needed to revamp the original space to accommodate our growing practice.”
After Dr. Grove’s remarks and a ribbon cutting ceremony guests then enjoyed light refreshments before taking a tour of the newly remodeled facility. The new office provides 8 operatory offices for treatment, surgeries, periodontics and orthodontic services. The leadership team also introduced patients to the dentists, hygienists, and staff who would be working at the new location. The initial patients were seen at the Penn Avenue location on Monday, June 10th.
Rapidly Growing Practice
The Penn Avenue office reopening comes on the heels of a larger move. In January of 2016, Dr. Grove rebranded the original Wyomissing Dental Associates as Grove Dental Group and moved to a much larger, 18 operatory office on State Hill Rd in Wyomissing. However, due to strong referrals from existing patients and an increased focus on orthodontics, including teen and adult Invisalign treatments, within 3 years even that new facility proved too limited for Grove Dental’s continued growth. “I’m excited. It will make scheduling an appointment even easier since there are now two convenient locations,” related Joan Shurr, of Mohnton.
Other patients were impressed by the state-of-the art imaging tools, as well as the re-supply, sterilization, and instrument management area, all of which ensures that Grove Dental remains at the cutting edge of dental technology in Berks County. As Dr. Grove concluded, “This location was a fantastic home for us in the past and I know it will continue to serve our patient community and future growth needs here in Wyomissing.”
