BCTV Announces Rose Kershner as 2020 Summer Intern

Berks Community Television (BCTV) is excited to announce Rose Kershner as our 2020 Summer intern. Kershner, 19, hails from Exeter, and is a sophomore at Montclair State University. She is majoring in Communication and Media Arts.

Kershner cites BCTV as being an early inspiration for pursuing Media Arts. “I performed at the BCTV station with Rainbow Theater when I was younger and I was fascinated by all the cameras and equipment,” Kershner said. “Now that I’m studying communication, I realized it would be great to get involved with the program that sparked my interest early on.”

Along with learning the ins and outs of studio production, Kershner will be managing BCTV’s Instagram and completing other timely projects. “I’m really excited to see how BCTV works with other organizations in the community, and to learn more about production logistics while meeting new people.”

She has already created and kicked off her first campaign: Teacher Tuesday Spotlight. Every Tuesday, a new Berks County teacher is highlighted for their hard work and dedication to their students’ education.

In her downtime, she loves to read and play with her dogs.
