COVID-19 has made for a much quieter downtown, but our Ambassador’s haven’t missed a beat. They continue to service downtown, with the following being a small highlight of what they have done this past week.
Ambassadors removed graffiti on bus shelters
Graffiti has no place in downtown Reading. Our Ambassadors are always on the look-out for these tags, and the team was able to remove them from the bus shelters within 24 hours.
Ambassadors continue weeding downtown
While it feels like Winter to us, the weeds know it’s Spring. Our Ambassadors continue to address the unsightly flora downtown.
Ambassadors assist with Cultivating Community initiative
Cultivating Community is a new collaborative initiative focused on historic victory gardening and food security in the city. Organized by Councilwoman Lucine Sihelnik, phase one of initiative launched on Monday, May 11th. Our Ambassadors helped with the set-up of the distribution event on Penn Street, with garden container kits given out to residents of District 1.
