Muhlenberg Greene Architects “Guess This Famous Building” Contest

Muhlenberg Greene Architects has announced an online contest in celebration of its 100th year in business in the county.  The event, scheduled from 3:00 to 3:15 p.m. on August 18, 2020, will be held on the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance’s Facebook Live

All are welcome to join the contest on the Chamber’s Facebook page to try and guess the names of the ten (10) buildings that will be featured during the Live broadcast.  Five (5) of the buildings will be world-famous structures, shown in Lego™ models, hand-built by the Firm’s architects.  The other five (5) buildings will be local Reading, PA area landmarks, past and present, shown in photographs and hand-drawn renderings by the Firm’s founder, Frederick A. Muhlenberg, FAIA.

All interested individuals and organizations are welcome to attend the virtual contest, and type their best guess for each structure in the live comments.  Those with correct answers will be contacted via Facebook to arrange for their prize.  One of the giveaway items is the Muhlenberg Greene Architect’s 100th Anniversary Tumbler.  Additional prizes include coffee mugs, flashlight pens, day planners, USBs and more. Prizes can be mailed, or winners may arrange for a no-contact pick up at the design firm’s Wyomissing, PA offices.

“We’re excited to take this first step with the Chamber into the Facebook Live medium,” said Suzanne Cody, Marketing Coordinator for Muhlenberg Greene Architects.  “Our original Centennial Celebration plans needed adjustment due to the COVID-19 crisis.  However, our new online celebration has the potential to reach more of the community than we could have accommodated at the Firm for an in-person event.”

Folks who are looking for clues on what structures will be featured are invited to visit the Firm’s website at MG-Architects.com to view the legacy renderings. Additional clues can be found on their Instagram page.
