On Sunday, May 16, 2021 in the activity that we call Helping Hands for Hope, One Love Project and its volunteers in conjunction with City Of Reading Public Works and Hope Lutheran Church in giving gifts to the city and the neighbors of the area surrounding the Church give a new look and feel to two lots at 626 and 628 N Front in Reading, PA.
Which was a little neglected to begin with, the grass was cut and a new garden began to be shaped in which the neighbors can plant and have a space to have contact with nature within an urban area. Several areas were made to plant vegetables and other areas to plant flowers, several garden seats were installed up to a beautiful birdbath.
One Love Project is always available to help our city of Reading and they approached us to save this area of recreation and contact with nature and we do not hesitate to say yes and we did so we feel very proud of the great work that was done together with these governmental and religious entities.
Thanks to all the volunteers who participated in this rescue of this green area that so much needed these small areas become lungs for our communities, we hope that the residents of the area will enjoy it and preserve it.
