WCR Center Presents: Emerging Artist Series ft Noah Gibney

We are thrilled to release the second concert in our Emerging Artist Series. This series will highlight local emerging artists and aims to share their work with a wider audience. Special thanks to the Reading Musical Foundation for partnering with us to promote the concerts.

Noah Gibney is a 14 year old, rising 9th grader in Wyomissing Area School District. He is a member of jazz band and has accompanied the chorus during winter and spring concerts over the past few years. He is a singer, songwriter, guitar player and piano player across all genres. Over quarantine Noah was lucky enough to work with Grammy nominated Philly contemporary blues artist Garret Dutton of G Love and the Special Sauce. They wrote a slew of songs and Noah co-produced and recorded some of those songs over the course of the year. He released his first EP, The Serendipity Sessions May 15th.

You can currently find Noah playing music around the area at various bars, clubs, restaurants, sports venues and breweries as The Noah Gibney Trio. In the band Noah plays guitar, piano and sings lead vocal, Matt Cullen plays percussion and Kris Kehr plays acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and sings vocals.

The WCR Center for the Arts’ Emerging Artist Series sprang from the desire to provide performers a way to share their music during a time when live performances were not possible due to COVID19. This series will continue to highlight local emerging artists and aims to share their work with a wider audience. The WCR is grateful to BCTV and The Reading Musical Foundation for partnering with us to promote these concerts. As we transition back to live performances, we hope to have the upcoming concerts be in-person events in our historic hall in the heart of downtown Reading.
