Building a Better Boyertown Presents Oktoberfest

Building a Better Boyertown (BaBB) is thrilled to announce its 14th Annual Oktoberfest which will take place in Boyertown on Friday, September 17th from 5:00-9:00pm and Saturday, September 18th from 11:00am-9:00pm (rain date: Sunday, September 19th). Participants will enjoy a family-friendly, German and fall-themed event, including beer, delicious food, music and entertainment, and a variety of craft vendors. Each year this event draws approximately 5,000-8,000 attendees and continues to grow in popularity. After last year’s virtual celebration due to Covid, we are excited to offer this amazing in-person event for the Boyertown community and its visitors and make it bigger and better than ever before. Oktoberfest is free to attend and welcomes families of all ages. There will be activities for children and adults alike! Beer tent wristbands can be purchased for $5.00.

BaBB is excited to announce some new changes coming to Oktoberfest 2021 – the 1st Annual Oktoberfest Baking Contest sponsored by King Arthur Baking Company and the VIP Oktoberfest Tasting. The baking contest will consist of two categories – adults will bake a black forest cake and youth will bake a butter cake. Baked goods will be accepted on September 18th from 11:00-11:45am. Tasting and judging will take place at 12:00pm and prizes will be awarded immediately following. Baking contest entries are due by September 8.

This year, we are adding a new component to the weekend event. On Thursday, September 16th from 5:00-8:00pm we will be offering a VIP Oktoberfest Tasting Event at Brakeman’s Café in Boyertown. This will be an indoor/outdoor event under a tent and attendees will sample beers that will be available for purchase at the weekend’s Oktoberfest event. They will be paired with German-themed appetizers. A bratwurst dinner will also be available for purchase. Tickets are limited. Deadline to purchase tasting tickets is September 9.
