50th Annual Antique Auto Show & Flea Market at Strausstown Lions Community Park

The 50th Annual Antique Auto Show and Flea Market hosted by the Strausstown Lions Club will be held on Sunday, September 12. The event is held in the Strausstown Lions Community Park located along Route 183, 1/2 mile south of I78 exit 19. All show cars must be preregistered by Saturday, September 4.

The show car gate is open from 9AM until noon. During that time show vehicles enter the judging field and are placed in their assigned classes. Each vehicle receives a souvenir dash plaque for entering the show.

Area businesses are sponsoring first, second, and third place cash prizes to be awarded in the forty classes of antique, classic, and special interest vehicles manufactured up to 2021. Senior cars, those having previously won a first place award at an Antique Automobile Club of America meet, will not compete in class judging. Each senior car is presented a participation award for displaying at the show. Awarding of prizes is scheduled to begin at 3PM.

The Flea Market opens at 6:30 AM. Over 250 vendors are expected to attend. Merchandise for sale includes automotive parts, accessories, tools, literature, general antiques, and collectibles. The Arts and Crafts stands are very popular! Antique gas engines and equipment will be operating throughout the day.

Special live entertainment featuring ‘The Uptown Band’ will appear on stage starting at 11AM. This top of the line band is sponsored by C&C Pizza, Bell & Evans, and Natures Accents.

Food and refreshments are conveniently located throughout the show and flea market areas. There is a selection of items available from the traditional hot dogs and hamburgers to homemade soups and pulled pork.

Spectator admission is by a $5 donation (16 year old and under admitted free). All proceeds are used in support of the blind, the hearing impaired, and community betterment.
