Tickets on Sale Now for Reading Rebels’ Home Opener at Geigle Complex

The Reading Rebels, a minor league professional basketball team and member of The Basketball League, is Reading’s new basketball team.   Earlier this month, the Geigle Complex, at Reading High School, was announced as the official home of the Reading Rebels for the 2022 Season.

Leading into the regular season, the team has scheduled two public events.

On Wednesday, February 23, at 10:00 a.m., a press conference will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading, 701 Penn Street, Reading.  Team Market Owners, Jon Gross, Alex Bernhard, and Merrit Marable, along with Head Coach Sergio Afre, will announce the signing of players.

On February 24, from 6-10:00 p.m., at Sly Fox Taphouse, 820 Knitting Mills Way, Wyomissing, one of the team’s official partners, invites the public to meet the players, smile for photo ops, and experience the menu.

Reading Rebels is focused on promoting community, leadership, integrity, and discipline.  The ultimate goal of the team is to create positive change within the community and empower and develop youth to their full potential.  It is the team’s mission to add to the ongoing investment and opportunity to rebuild the City of Reading.
