The Miller Center for the Performing Arts at Reading Area Community College proudly announces that Five-Time Grammy Winner, Mary Chapin-Carpenter will kick-off the 15th Anniversary Season on Tuesday, August 16th, 2022. Mary Chapin Carpenter is one of only a handful of women to be inducted in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Carpenter’s records have sold over 15 million albums featuring such classic hits as “I Feel Lucky,” “He Thinks He’ll Keep Her” and “The Hard Way.” Pre-sale Tickets will be available for Miller Center members and sponsors beginning on Tuesday, March 8th at 10am. The resurgent Miller Center already has an incredible series of shows set for the next few months leading up to the 15th Anniversary season. Americana legend, Josh Ritter, comes to the Miller Center on May 7th, Pink Floyd Tribute Artist, “The Machine” are set to perform on April 23rd, Legendary Phillies Manager, the folky and funny Charlie Manuel, will talk baseball on April 29th, seven time Grammy Winner, Christian McBride, the extraordinary jazz bassist is will be taking the Miller Center stage on May 22nd. The Miller Center will be hosting SEVEN Berks County Jazz Fest Shows, including the heralded Royal Scam, the ultimate Steely Dan tribute artist. The Royal Scam will be playing with the Reading Pops at the Miller Center on April 2nd
